Peach Strudel
(thanks to Ken Swiger)

  • (1) 10 oz. can peaches, drained
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 sheet Fillo dough
  • spray-on margarine
  • sugar glaze (click here for the recipe)

Lay a sheet of fillo dough out on an ungreased cookie sheet. Spray with margarine. Add remaining sheets, layering with margarine to form crust. Spoon peaches onto dough in a line lengthwise about 3 inches from one edge. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over peaches. Fold up 3 inch edge over filling and carefully roll the filling over once. Fold ends toward middle to seal. Finish rolling the strudel. Spray the strudel with margarine. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky in appearance. Drizzle sugar glaze over warm pastry.
